Deposit Review is an independent audit of the materials being deposited into escrow. It verifies that files are complete, readable, virus-free, and correctly structured, creating a documented baseline of what has been deposited.
Deposit Review is designed for organisations that want clarity and confidence at the start of an escrow arrangement, including legal, procurement, IT, and risk teams responsible for third-party governance and resilience.
Materials are transferred securely via the depositing portal or verified onsite. The verification consultant copies the deposit into a test environment, scans it for threats, unlocks encrypted materials (using provided credentials), and decompresses archived files where required.
Every file is then identified and catalogued, opened in relevant applications, verified for accessibility and classified by file type.
The escrow deposit is securely provided via the Escode depositing portal or secure transfer, then copied onto test hardware in a controlled environment for review.
Files are unlocked (if encrypted), decompressed, and scanned for viruses. All file types are analysed, opened in the correct applications to confirm accessibility, and fully catalogued. BOM comparison is completed if supplied.
All findings, including completeness, accessibility, and any issues identified, are documented in a comprehensive Deposit Review Report with observations and recommendations.
